Session 1.5: How committed are you to achieving your goals?

You now know what you want to achieve and you have taken the first step towards a debt free future. However it is easy to set goals, the important thing is achieving them and that requires considerable effort and commitment. Take some time now to consider how committed you are to actually making your goals happen.

Reflection Activity: How committed am I to achieving my financial goals?
  • Click on the action link above to access your Personal Development Record.
  • Under the heading "My commitment level" mark on the scale how committed you are to achieving your financial goals with 1 = not interested, 10 = totally dedicated.

    Note:
If your response is less than seven - this indicates that you might not be fully committed to achieving your goals.

If this is the case you need to ask yourself "What needs to change to get that response closer towards a ten?" e.g. more time or perhaps support from others.

Whatever it takes, if you are not fully committed now you have less chance of actually achieving your desired outcome.
  • In the box write down what you need to do or change to be fully committed to achieving your goals
